Sabal Palm’s Story

The Sabal Palm Patio Bar & Grill is the latest of three restaurants to launch and is a welcomed addition to the Lani Kai Island Resort Property. Developed by Bob Conidaris, Larry Puccia and the celebrated Chef Pedro, Sabal Palm is slated to become one of the #1 restaurants on Fort Myers Beach.

Launching after a full redesign and renovation, the Sabal Palm Beach Bar & Grill opened for Fort Myers Beach goers in November 2015. Sabal Palm is a beautifully positioned modern restaurant sitting on the first floor of the Lani Kai overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Offering a unique approach to appetizer/tapas menu, Chef Pedro has developed of few of his own unique specialties ranging from multiple styles including Seafood, American, Caribbean, Hispanic and Italian dishes.

Sabal Palm’s restaurant interior is designed to reflect natural light off from the ocean across panoramic wall mirror displays. Elegant modern design combined with the beach front patio and panoramic sliding glass doors provides a unique restaurant venue like none other on Fort Myers Beach. Whether you are seated at the bar looking out towards the ocean, at a table or in a booth, you are able to witness the aesthetic beauty of Fort Myers Beach’s view and the white sugar sands of the Gulf of Mexico.

Chef Pedro’s Italian/Asian/Hispanic culinary background is showcased in Sabal Palm’s new design and tapas menu. It features a fresh take on Italian-American cooking, utilizing fresh seafood from the Gulf sourced from local docks and fishing companies in Southwest Florida. Chef Pedro explores the Tapas phenomenon, providing dozens of appetizers and lunch/dinner plates available in variation with weekly unique specials. Made-from-scratch recipes, sauces and spices capture a truly unique beach restaurant experience. All recipes are original and passed down through years of working as a chef, starting at a young age in my parent’s restaurant kitchen in Vera Cruz, Mexico.” – Chef Pedro.
